I’m having a desire to really sink into the description of what they see and try to make it as visual as I can but with words…

Glow worm pics… The real thing from New Zealand. I don’t own either of these, and am posting them only because they are just awesome for inspiration.

Color me inspired! This is glorious!! Their natural luminescence delightful and makes the whole picture magical.

I’ve located a few other glowing creatures. Railway worms, glowing orange and yellow, Bacterium, glowing bright cyan in the surf (red tide), Jack-o-Lantern mushrooms, bright orange to rust in the light but with eerie green glowing undersides, even some earthworms. And of course there’s squid, jellyfish, and other creatures of the deep that glow both blue and red…
It’s amazing what you can find on the web. Most of the ‘shooms I’ve found have been these little pale things, growing in Brazil to Japan. But they found five new species: http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2006/10/061026-fungi-glow.html
